The Supramonte of Baunei is an imposing, wild limestone plateau where rugged mountain wilderness drops precipitously into the deep blue Gulf of Orosei. This remote landscape is crisscrossed by ancient mule tracks used by charcoal burners and shepherds, offering some of the most challenging and rewarding trekking routes in the Mediterranean. The area is world-renowned for sheltering iconic natural monuments, including the iconic stone pinnacle of Aguglia and the breathtaking beach of Cala Goloritzé, characterized by its natural limestone arch and crystal-clear turquoise cove.
